just wondering....


fresh or frozen?


if frozen  have you bought it yet?


if fresh do you order it ahead of time?

Either, but a frozen turkey is less expensive and cooks up the same as a fresh one.

I won't buy my turnkey until probably the week after next. The stores have pretty good deals where you spend X number of $ and get a turkey free or a cheaper price per pound. Also need to find out when hubby is coming home since he is leaving next week.

Normally buy a 10 to 12 pound bird. Just enough leftovers for at least one day and to send some home with the boy. ;-)

Actually I don't do the turkey....I order it all cooked, I just have to heat it...
I have never enjoyed making a full Tday dinner....

I've had both,can't really tell any difference.


Will probably get a frozen about 23 lbs.

Frozen....probably around 20 pounds....want leftovers to send home with my folks, and son....plus youngest son will be home and will 'need' leftovers too!!

I agree with you. I really don't like making a big dinner. Nothing ever seems to go right.

I have had both...But Im using a frozen one this yr and I purchased it about a wk ago its 22 pds....

I've only had a fresh turkey once and I thought it was not as good as the frozen.
