Ok I have taken the first steps toward my working out goals. I bought a piece of equipment the other night called the perfect pushup. I have used it twice since I bought it, and I will tell you that I believe it is working or atleast that is what my sore muscles are telling me lol. I also checked with a gym like 2 miles from my house and took a tour of the facilites. I am joining it next week. They are only asking 25 per month and 19 per month for my wife, they also offer babysitting while you work out, so the wife and I are gonna start that next week. So maybe by summer I will have some new pics to post to show off the results LOL!!!!

I might look into that. A while back I lost like 20 lbs by simply cutting out soft drinks and drinking water, and just watching my calorie intake. I would eat three times a day and drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning with like 6 packets of sugar lol then have maybe 1 mountain dew and then I would drink almost a gallon of water a day. I dropped like 20 lbs in three weeks doing that, but then I started fudging and stopped lol. So I am starting to drink my water again and all I need to do now is stop drinking the mt. dews, but they are my weakness, not to count the migrains I get from not drinking them lol.

Yeah I am feeling pretty motivated this time around. I think once I finally start going to the gym I will continue to be motivated. Thing is alot of people lose that motivation if they do not see results right away, I will just have to be persistent in my pursuit of the perfect body.

Okay ..... but what about your dear wife??

If you want to help your wife help YOU lose weight .... which will also help her lose weight ... look into the SBD ....

The headaches you are getting form not drinking Mt Dew are Caffine withdrawl .... it is extremely high in Caffine ....

Way to GO J-man! You have to start somewhere...heading off to the gym is a great idea.I agree with CinCin about the South Beach Diet....it has worked for me! I have lost weight...gained too, when I got sloppy about what I put in my mouth! lol If you and your wife are doing this together it will make it that much easier! Even ythough my DH didn't need to lose...he went on it with me--he read the book and saw that it was a healthy lifestyle!

Good Luck....keep us posted....OK?
