All the "eat healty hype" as far as I am concerned is spoiling everyone holidays.  Schools have even said all healthy snacks for holiday parties.  Geesh let kids have some fun and be kids, let them have fun Halloween candy, its once a year for crying out loud!!!  Thowing calories into our faces about pumpkin pie, dressing and all the other holiday food!  Its once a year!  Yes, for those on a diet, have some of all of the Thanksgiving food, eat a small serving, piece, ect.  But geesh have some fun and be guilt free!

I am tired of the media telling people how to raise their kids and telling me what to eat!  Enough already!!!!

Just needed to vent this!!!!

I'll second that!! The media should let people feed themselves and their children any way they want and stay out of it!

I'm 49 and I will eat what I want, when I want and how much I want. Oversize portions at restaurants and fast foods are what bites adults and kids in the butts, more then the homecook/baked foods at home.

I'm looking so forward to my plate of mashed potatoes with giblet gravy. Try to take it away from me and I'll bite your hands off. ;-)

Okay, I'll leave your potatoes alone if you don't get between me and the stuffing!

I agree! They should tell us what is good for us. Then let us decide. Schools should server both kinds of food.

Funny how we all survived...isn't it Beverly!

You know we never stopped having the special holiday stuff, and never will. It is silly what they want us all to do.

One thing that erks me is the use of sugar free sweeteners. I can't have most or i get sick, headache...ect. So we are back to sugar. It is natural and i think natural is the way to go.

No msg, no artifical sweeteners, try to keep from using the dyes in foods...ect.

My kids have servived...i think most would.

Maybe instead of all the panic about sugar...ect, maybe those people should get out and get some exersize with their kids. We would all be a lot healthier!
