My ds just called to say hi and mentioned that he started decorating and bought pine scented candles for the apartment so it smells like XMAS and he got a new wreath for his front door . So I just wondered if you are starting to get in the XMAS spirit yet?
You know, I'm not. It is very sad. I haven't gotten into the Christmas spirit in years. At least not like I used to. I am thankful and know my blessings and what the holiday is really about but I just don't feel all spirit filled. I shop and do all the right holiday things but I just don't feel special in my heart like I used to. I think I just don't have time to. I am also still feeling the loss of my angel and that still hurts. She loved to shop for Christmas. She went overboard in the Christmas spirit and I still really miss her. Someday that pain will subside, I know, but in the meantime I am waiting and going through the motions.
I kind am getting there !!! I have the munchkins toys & gifts bought !
I have 1 room decorated......dh actually asked where the outside ights were....I told him downstairs in the closet......guess what...they are still there !! lol
This week, would like to put out the big air-blow up Santa & Frosty & my new one this year a choo-choo train w/ winnie the pooh waving ! The kids love these..Matthew already asked, when I was putting them out !!
If it was'nt for the munchkins...I could care less for X-mas...it annoys me, how commercialized it has become. I think the whole reason of celebrating X-mas has been totally forgotten about.
i know what you mean hugs. the older the boys got the longer it took me to get into the christmas spirit. it was so much more fun seeing christmas through the eyes of a child.
