Grr! It figures!

All weekend, the tv was fine. I thought I had all the features I wanted figured out. I got it so the dvd player would work via my cable remote. Then, today, Tom went to work.... I bet you can guess what happened.  I put in a dvd I wanted to watch, and.... nothing! It won't play! Or, it seems like it's playing, but won't show up on the tv. I KNOW it worked! I saw it working! Now, naturally when I'm alone and clueless, it won't.

Tom was fiddling with it all weekend, putting pix on and "renaming" things. (I didn't even know you could store pix in it - nor do I care). He may have done something (it wouldn't surprise me). But if I dare to suggest he messed up something I use, he gets all defensive and acts like it's me who's unreasonable.  Sigh, I just wish he'd let things be and not have to mess with stuff! I want to say "It is working the way I like it NOW - leave it alone!" But I don't say that. I let him futz around with stuff and find out when it's too late that something he did messed up something I want to do. I guess, every time he does something with a feature (that I could care less about) of the tv, I should check to be sure the features I want still work!

Okay, I'm done. I'm off to pout - and do the laundry.

My web page is not all perfect and I was planning on restructureing it. However..grr.

The site is still up, which is good. I just can't work on it without starting over.

Oh, I'm sure he'll be able to get it working again, or show me how to get it working after he's messed with things, but meanwhile, I can't watch a movie I wanted to watch and I'll have to pay another dollar to keep it till tomorrow. Not a big thing, I suppose, but annoying.

Ahhhh..yes..the "joys" of marriage are at work again!! I love being married and I love my husband and we're great companions and all that good stuff..but..I hate that other side of marriage!! I'm too old for the crap and do not have the patience for it anymore!! Your frustrations came through to me loud and clear.

Oh, well, you'll find a way to approach Tom and get the problem fixed and you'll go on until the next pain in the butt moment comes along.

I feel your frustration. For me it isn't my dvd player, that more or less works. I just can't get it to record on timer. My issue is my stupid computer. It won't let me do what I want. I think my cd drive is going bad again. This will be my second one is 3 years. DH got online yesterday and somehow changed some of my settings. He is clueless on this thing and does so much accidental. I wish he would leave my computer alone. I have enough issues with it without his help! LOL
