How's that for a combo of topics? LOL!! I guess I just feel like gabbing, so try to indulge me a bit why doncha..LOL!!
The weather's crazy here...today it's sunny, windy, but not too bad, and the temps are at 62*f right now!! Tomorrow we'll get snow flurries and temps will be around 30*F!! Now, that's just weird!! So, how's your weather?
These gas prices are amazing! It's down to $1.48 here in south central Kansas and keeps dropping a penny each day. Hope it continues!!
Coffee grinder...I've heard about them for years, fresher coffee, easy to use, nice trendy thing to have. Well, let me tell ya, you can have mine!!! I got one for John the coffee fiend a month or so ago. He used it a few times with me always cleaning up the mess left behind that he "didn't see" and then I noticed he stopped using it. I tried it this morning for the first time. The thing creates static electricity and the very find grounds cling to the sides of the machine and are hard to get off! The coffee didn't taste any fresher or better either, just stronger and I don't like strong coffee. The grounds move and cling to the cloth or moist paper you use for clean up, but then stick to other things. I told him he can throw it in the trash. He agreed. It's still sitting on the counter and I'll betcha there's still some grounds on it that weren't there when I cleaned it off earlier!! And that's my take on coffee grinders...don't waste your money!! I'll continue buying already ground beans or grind them in the store using their grinder and leaving the mess for them to clean up!!
All right..I'm finished now..see ya's later.

it is COLD here too ! at least the winds died down :O) i ache all over from it. the thermostat says 62 in here but it feels much colder!
Don't know what exactly the weather is here but it is cold! I have been out in it way too many times this morning. First to Walmart, then later to the party store for bday invites and then to the insurance office, then finally to the school to drop off girl scout stuff. In and out, in and out. Too cold for me!
Gas here just went down again to $1.59 in NW Indiana. Was $1.69 yesterday. Loving it! Hope it keeps up.
As for a coffee grinder? Too noisy and too much work for me but my father swears by his. His issue is the actual coffee maker. His old one from the late 80's died about a year ago. He has been buying new ones left and right because none of them make the coffee "right" whatever that means. When I cleared the dining room table for Thanksgiving there were 4 coffee makers back in the boxes on the table! LOL I told my mom to wrap one up for me and one for my idiot brother for Christmas. My current one cost me $3 on blitz 3 years ago at Walmart. Works for me. Nothing fancy, just brews the coffee and keeps it hot. LOL

I'm not a huge coffee drinker,

It's so much fun reading all your complaints about your DH....I'm loving it;-)
I've never owned a coffee grinder...thought about it but decided it would be just one more thing

I luv my coffee grinder,we have had it for about 14 years and it's still grinding good.
I usualy grind enough coffee to last about 5 days and put it in an airtight container.
It only takes 20 seconds to grind a lid full,(cant you tell im a pro at this.lol)
I can't do without my coffee,im really addicted.

Yea, well, I'm glad you're getting a LOL over my John stories for it's a laugh a minute for me too..LOL!! He does need an appointment to get his eyes examined. Then we'll just see if he really doesn't see the coffee grinds on the counters or water spots or coffee splaters in the sink. If I'm still cleaning up after him after he gets new glasses, we'll have to have another talk about that little matter. Geez, I wouldn't want to do anything to piss me off, he's a brave man..LMBO!!!
Hey, it's cooling off nicely out your way finally..great!!
I'm cracking up over Ray driving to KS to gas up..LOL!! My grocery store gives us an additional 10 cents off per gallon at their pumps
We had one years ago & thought it was great ..
Well, looks like we'll be driving to KS....buy $100 worth of groceries to get gas at $1.38...Nothing like a good bargain to get us going......roflol
I just cleaned up the coffee splaters near the coffee pot..."He" doesn't notice that either.....I hope getting John's eyes checked will help clear up a few things for him....Good luck with that;-)

Yea, well, like I've said before...being married is like raising another kid!!
