I live with my DD and her family and its an old farm house with very narrow stairs. Monday night I slipped coming down the steps and hit the side of my forehead on the corner of an antique stereo/radio, knocked my glasses off and I landed on my right side with my right arm out behind me. An immediate knot the size of a walnut appeared along with a bruise. Well yesterday my right shoulder, neck, right wrist all kind of ached, so I spent a lot of my time on the couch watching QVC..........B-I-G mistake, I ended up buying a pair of jeans, a shirt and some make up. Geesh I cant afford to be hurt anymore.
Today the swelling is down but the bruise is a beautiful shade of purple and the stiffness and soreness is mostly subsided, good thing another day on the couch watching QVC and I would need a bailout from Uncle Sam.

Oh, gosh, Beverly, that had to be so frightening!! So glad you didn't break anything! I fell down last month going up some stairs, tripped at the top and went down on the porch of a friend's house. I remember that feeling of fear as I was going down for not knowing what would happen when I landed. My bruises hung around for a couple of weeks. Hope your's goes away fast!
A wee bit of advice..."Turn the tv channel!!!" ;-)
I did lay still for a few minutes trying to clear my head and figure out if I had any broken bones.
TURN THE CHANNEL!!! now why didnt I think of that, but geesh I would have missed buying all my goodies. :=)
