Update on Diva Dog,, Coffee

she did recognize me and dh and our home,,, (thank goodness).   She came in and wagged and wagged her not so little tail adn jumped all over us, peeped the floor by our feet from excitement (what more can I ask for that that show of affection on the floor???) LOL   Then she took off running from room to room like a crazy dog.  Ds was amazed ....  she was the same when he left for the week and returned.   I found it cute though that even today as ds went to the toilet , she would just sit outside the bathroom door waiting for him. She really loves him which is a very good sign that he is takinng good care of her... as I knew he would.

Now how long was I gone??????    18 days.     Our little Coffee is not so little,, well not a "great dane" yet but she got taller and much thicker (no, not fat she's getting muscular).  She has all her shots now and can go out .  She smelled great and was sooooo silky,,,  ds gave her her first bath, yesterday, (oh I so wanted to be there and missed it,,, but OK I'll give the 2nd bath ),,,,  she looked so pretty...  he said she loved being in the  bathtub, was really calm , she stood up and put her paws up on the side of the bathtub so he could scrub her tummy. She did not care for the hairdryer.  it was tooo crazy here with everyone hovering around her and ds talking a mile a minute to take photos but I will real soon.  She has some REAL fangs now.   She did NOT like the striped sweater I bought her,, well she likes to be "au naturelle!".   It is too much for her now that she has the new halter (brown with pirates on it) and leash and the sweater was just too much so she was biting it ... took that off and will try another time.  I took her out for a walk,,, a short one as it is about 29 ° ,,, and no coat so I just wanted to see how she walks with the leash.  She did great.     Doesn't pull and walks staight mostly,, crosses in front of me once in awhile, depending what she sees ... no pulling and gagging or biting the leash.   she is looking less like a puppy (she is now 4 months),  nice formed legs and back and I thought her ears got shorter but realized they are the same length just her legs got longer.   (OK go ahead and laugh,,, ).

The smaller bag I bought her for the car or in places where she should be able to walk in and out of,, is too small,, would have been good a couple weeks ago.. well it's not toooooo small , and we did get her in it, and she got the drift of what it was,, (with the windows on the side for air,,, etc),,, and she fell asleep in it,, so I think it will be good for a few months. I didn#t give the other toys as she was just runnign around finding her old stuff and  having a good time with those...

she's just a doll,  and now before you all fall asleep reading I'll end.   she's just vshe very much bigger now...  amazing but I feel like I missed some of her puppyhood.  LOL  she certainly gained about 3 lbs... thanks for listening.. main thing she did remember me.
