At least the fever went down, but as I woke this morning I had hives,, huge welts all over... so dh said,,, we're going to the doctor to the hospital (private).  Off we went into teh cold but he had heated up the car before I got in it.   Great doctor , very complete,,,, he took lung xrays, asked the whole history,, was extremely concerne when we said we had just arrived by plane on tuesday evening.. (bells went off), took blood, did a nose swab, and a throat swab.    We went for tea in the cafeteria and after an hour the results were in.  I have influenza and strep throat.  So  he gave me a medicine for this influenza, cough medicine, antihistimine for the allergy,  ibuprufen for muscle aches, and said go to bed.  He also gave dh the same med for influenza  as it is extremely contagious and he has 85% of getting it.. i will watch him like a hawk,, as he has been standing vigil around the clock.  Dr believes in 10 days I'll be better he also firmly believes that I got this on the plane. (I noticed that when I used the toilets on the plane that the entire last row of passengers had white surgical masks on their faces hmm.     MIL just called to say they were on  there way over to see me, dh say no, he-l no... (yea, easily trainable).  Now I need to get back to bed and am praying that dh, ds and Coffee who were here on Wednesday do not get this.    That is my update.

Suzan,i hope you feel better soon.

Planes are terrable places for catching things,on my recent trip home from England i got real sick, the guy next to me caughed and sneezed the whole time, maybe wearing thoses surgcal masks is a good thing, not a bad idea to start taking one with us on trips.

Rest up.

I'd have been a little suspicious of a bunch of people with surgical masks on, too! I think I would have been scared, lol!

Sorry about the strep throat. Not fun, I know.

rest up suzan & drink plenty of fluids. if dh didn't get a flu shot he will probably get it too. the antibiotics will take care of the strept but the flu has to work its way out as it is a virus.

i can't beleive the inlaws want to come visit. geesh...they want to get sick? maybe mil can make a soup and drop it off
