Girls I'm just Devastated!

My family and I had a great day and just before they all left - my oldest son wanted to get some car stuff I had out of my locker so we grabbed the keys and went down while the others started packing their 'loot'.
Girls - EVERYTHING WAS GONE!!! There was so much of my stuff down there it came right up to the door. I had my summer clothing, dishes, all my precious Christmas decorations I've collected for years with my late husband, my Christmas tree (I didn't put mine up this year!) my new luggage I had for my vacation - that had MY NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER still on the tags from the trip and on box of antiques I had put away to pass on to my grandchildren. Most of the stuff is material stuff and while its upsetting I do't really care - well I do - but you understand. Its the antiques I was keeping down there - irreplaceable - from Northern Ireland from my son's great grandmother that I was giving to my grandkids. I had a combination lock on this locker and I've had this locker since I was in this building for 5 years.
My son and I immediately went to the superintendant but he can't do anything until Monday when the head office opens and he's new so he hasn't a clue anyway. He suggested I call the police - but they can't do anything - I haven't a clue when this was done - and its not like there are fingerprints on the wooden lockers. And the sad thing is that like many others - I'm a widow who doesn't make much money - so I don't have insurance. I just can't afford it. Now the only thng I own is what is in these 4 walls.
I just want to cry and throw things but I can't let this get to me. I've written an email to the head office and sent that so they'll have it first thing Monday demanding to know who the hell got permission to remove my belongings without notifying me - particularly since my luggage HAD MY NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER on them.
So I'm here venting and hope you don't mind. I had such a great day and don't want this to ruin my good memories.
Tomorrow I'm going out with my friend who drives me for groceries and I'm going to 'treat' myself to a MP3 player - I was going to do that anyway and then I thought - what a waste of money. But now I just don't care - I'm getting it.
I desperately need a hug! My siggy was put here this morning but it sure seems to fit ...lol

Good for you....now I hope the head office does something about it! That's just the pits to have everything taken like that! Are you the only one who had their storage broken into?
Enjoy those high temps in the 50's....you do realize, that is still very cold....LOL

I so know how you feel. I was robbed when i was in the appt. They went through it all. took my wedding bands from my first wedding, pewrsonals stuff....you name it! We found out who did it and the police gotr him. He was a friend of my boyfiends.
The worst was he got the kids gifts(christmas time), and cleaned out the freezer and my pantry.
I was a single mom with 2 boys at the time.
I hope things come back to you again....but not likely! Check the pawn shops...i found my sterio and clock radio there. I was lucky...i had renters insurance. I paid a little each month on it.
Oh, Rusty, that is just horrible!!! I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you. They were "only" material things, but they were very important to your heart. When I first moved here 32 years ago, I was a single mom, young and naive and my storage bin was robbed. I foolishly had important things stored there..small tv set, new snow tires, typewritter,
