getting mighty quiet here......   well guess I'll go watch Las Vegas....  that's always good.

this morning I took Coffee out for a walk around 9am....  hurray, she did her first PP outside in the snow...  on the walk back home I stopped to buy a newspaper and rolled it up to carry it easier..  well we were just about on the home stretch and this huge mangy wild dog bounded out of no where and attacked us,, went after little Coffee who was scared and huddled way down on the ground,, the attacking dog, lips curled and growling badly was biting at her and my foot and was about to really attack so I yanked the leash up and (since she had the halter on) I was able to lean over like a flash and  got her in my arms, and then pulled her right into my chest in a ball...  the dog was still coming around the front and I heaved the newspaper rolled up at the mangy mutt and scared the dog... and then ("calmly as I could knees shaking") walked  away.... carried Coffee all the way home, my jacket was full of mud and Coffee whimpering...  nothingn happened to her or me,, but have to say that was scarey,,, don't reallly no how to handle that kind of situation.. I had to wash her feet and checked her all over, and she just cuddled in my arms for about 20 minutes shaking...  hmmm poor baby.   I think if we had a shotgun in the house  dh would have been on his first hunt.    Not sure whether to tell ds about the incident or not.

Dh walks our Kobi every morning and he carrys Mace with him, if not mace pepper spray. He has had a pit bull or two come after him and it works everytime. I hope Coffee is ok and she will get over it. I know it is scary as I have had it happen to me when I had my small dog, did the same thing as you just wipe

Poor little Coffee and you, too!
Carrying pepper spray is a good idea.....

Yeah for Coffee doing her "first PP" outside and in the snow, at that...wow what a good puppy she is;-)

If it were me, I'm sure I'd tell my ds....I couldn't keep it to myself eventhough I know how upset he would be...
