Well ladies I went to the doctor concearning my pain I have been having lately, and guess what more terrific news!!
It seems after getting riddled by radioactive rays yesterday that it turns out I have no fractures in my ribs. There where however some very interesting spots where evidentally I have had fractures in my ribs in the past that I was oblivious to.
Anyway it was determined that my pain can not be a muscle pull seeing how the pain is under the ribs and it is not broken ribs. So come Tuesday I have to get a CT done of my whole midsection. He wants to look at my spleen, stomach, liver, large intestines.
You see since I have Ehlors Danlos syndrome type 3, the doctor wants to check me for type 4 as well which is a nasty animal all to its self. It seems that type 4 attacks the membrane that makes up your organs instead of attacking the bone as in type 3. He wants to give me a good look over to see whats going on.
Knowing my luck the way I do, I will probably be diagnosed with some weird rare disease that noone has ever heard of and there is no way to fix it, or they will tell me I have to have something removed. Who knows all I can say that it is par for the course. I am so disgusted with my body right now that I would be willing to trade it for a healthy 60 year old body anyday.
All I want out of life is to be able to grow old and be healthy enough to enjoy my sons childhood and teen years. After my son has grown up and has a family of his own I can kill over happy with the knowledge that I gave him a wonderful childhood. It seems however the way things are going now I am going to be freakin broken down beyond the point of repair by the time he reaches those enjoyable years of playing baseball and football with me out in the yard. The way things are going I am probably going to have to sit and watch from a chair as he plays by himself =(.

Oh, Duane, I am so very sorry to hear that you have to cope with this illness. I'd never heard of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome before and have been reading up on it. I hope to God that they are wrong and you do not have Type IV!
Yes, this will decrease what you will be able to do physically in your future years. Please dear friend, put your focus on what you CAN do and not on what will be taken away!
I do not have an illness as severe as your's, but I do have to live with and cope with every day
You have had and continue to have a lot of crap thrown at you. There's nothing you can do to make it go away. I can sure understand your anger and frustrations and hesitancy to go to a doctor. You're
LOL!!!
Aw, Duane, I know how frustrating it is to be told you have some odd problem and there's nothing they can do, although my petty annoyances are nothing compared to yours!
