I did get out today, it was nice and I was ahead of the traffic so had no problems there. I opted for a smaller less spectacular mall that is close to home but I had not been too. Got a prime place parking right at the front door. I bought all sorts of things for the home,, toothpaste /brush holders, a scatter rug , some serving dishes in glass, pot holders, groceries, and a mop and a ladder... (so am washing some sheers right now as I type.)
Now here's the thing: they also have a pet shop there so I went in to buy a new brush for Coffee as the one i'm using is not getting through to the bottom layer of fur, (she has a really really thick coat now.. ) and we play beauty parlor once everyday and her ears 2x a day, brush her teeth once a day. So I got the brush and was on my way out when I passed the cages. All precious at various ages and then came the 7 week old cocker spaniel that looked like coffee but only 7 weeks.. soooo tiny and curled up in a tight ball, just trying to lift the little head and look at me,,, (thinking that 's how coffee must have looked , same color),, anyway the sales person came right over and asked if I would like to buy her,,, I just looked up at him and started crying... so I ran out of the store. Still crying as I type,,, I already em'd dh and told him we had to move to a farm.
ohhhhhh dear. I know this sounds so silly of me, but I can't help it...

The older cat smacks him and he is right back. i squirt him with water...he peaks at me and runs...then starts on something else.
we should have named him satan!! thomas calls waldo skitzo!!
You are so precious Suzan and what a huge heart you have. Imagine how you love these animals and how lucky Coffee is to have you. I have always said a person that is good to animals is a person that has to be good to human beings. You are a good women, and a super friend, and no I don't think that you are silly at all.
Ok now, a question.....will your husband really want to go and move to a farm? I too am a great animal lover, but I became allergic to dogs, cats and horses. Horses even though I love them, that dosen't bother me, but cats and dogs, love those guys. I had a cat many years ago and when I became highly allergic to him I had to have him put down as he was 12 yrs of age and the vet said even if I gave him to some one he would die because I had him since he was 1 yrs old and he would not accept someone else. I will always remember that day, and I promised myself I would never get another pet again, even if I was able to. Some thing happens to them it is so heart breaking and it took me awhile to get over loosing my Frisky.
How is Coffee doing? I bet she is back to herself again hu? Give her a huge hug and kiss from me. (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))xxxxxxxxxxxkissesxxxxxxxxxx
Why do you think we have three furkids :)
no I won't , and I have to stop looking in the pet shops,,anything else I need for Coffee I will buy at the vet or in Munich where I have never seen a pet shop with cats and dogs (just birds and fish).
Hi Miriam,
OH that is sad about your allergy, did it just start after having your kitty for sooo long?
Yes I was a pushover, and I was reading an article (I bought a book last night) and realized that I was thinking that she's human in that she thinks logically.
Since I was a little girl I had developed allergies, (hay fever) allergic to grass more likely the running eyes and sneezing when the grass is being cut, the oak in the trees, rag weed (those long yellow things I can't even say they are flowers) and of course the pollen. So summer seasons I do a lot of sneezing and blowing my nose. Though....I must say that the past summer it didn't bother me at all. Some one told me that as you get older, sometimes the allergies diminish. As for my Frisky my beautiful cat, I had him 11 yrs before they realized that I was allergic to cats, dogs, horses and other furry animals. I was on a pump for a while and then I had to go on the pump with cortozen in it. Then when that wasn't working, I went back to my doctor who then sent me to an allergist. The first thing he asked me was if I had an animal and of course I told him about my cat of 11 yrs old. Well, you know the rest. As we left, I cried all the way home and it took me a month after talking several times to my vet before I could put him down.
As for people to take advantage of you, especially when they know you are very good hearted, you definitely have to know where to draw the line. Hey girlfriend, you can go on and on and on whenever you please, I love to hear from you and if you need to vent or just ramble on, or even a soft place to fall, I am here to listen. That's what friends are for:)
I am very anxious to hear your dh response to moving to a farm, I think that is so cute. That would be the perfect place to have some dogs, even a nice piece of land in the country as you mentioned.
I could only imagine the hastle it is to travel with an animal, very hard. How often to you travel to Germany and back home and how long to you remain in one place? WOW!! that was a mouth full LOL!!! Miss nosy here ha ha ha
You have a super day and take care :) (((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))
