Sorry to hear the job fair wasn't much help to you....just have to have faith that something will come your way soon....I know that's much easier said than done((((Pat)))).... just hope your happy being with your family...that helps, a little?
Donna, you must really be looking forward to Feb. and leaving Jan. behind....Now that your meds are gone, hope to hear good news on how your feeling tomorrow....
The snow sounds beautiful...all I see out the window is sunny, blue sky...so boring:-(
Love your sig but I don't think Rusty would like it much....LOL
Since my dgc are within walking distance from the school, foggy day schedules don't affect them much....school starts at the regular time, it's the bus kids that get the 1-2 hour delays.....Our heaviest
Donna....My dad hated the snow in Ohio and decided to drag us all out here...that was in the early 50's.....his mom and 2 sisters had been living in CA for years before we got here.....I think he thought we were going to have a better life but it sure didn't turn out that way......My dad worked for Wonder Bread in Ohio and they offered him a job in LA area but he refused....wanted to be closer to family, I guess....so he ended up not being able to find a decent job to support 5 kids and a wife....
Interesting story Fran. I guess I thought you and your husband moved out there, didn't realize you lived there since childhood. That took courage for your dad to take the risk of moving so far away and starting anew. Sad that it didn't work out for him. Taking assistance is not what people did back then, "I won't accept charity.", is what they thought. Times sure have changed!
I was born in Santa Maria, CA and always wished my parents had stayed there instead of moving back to NJ to be near family. I would have had no problem being a California girl..LOL!!
I looked out again just as Shelby was making her way around the tree. I rescued her..LOL!!

Hi Teri....I hope you are enjoying your snow day....
Kids around here always hope for foggy day schedules, since we don't get snow but school never gets canceled...
