For you Gals in 'snow country'....

This is for any of the gals living where it snows (which would eliminate our Frannie...lol) With the weather thawing and then freezing overnight and then getting a sprinkling of snow in the morning - hiding the freezing bits - please be careful out there.

I went for a 'good one' this morning, my cane slid on covered ice and immediately my foot went out from under me and my leg twisted from the knee down almost sideways.   I know nothing is broken but I also know I'm going to be quite sore in a few hours.  I'm already feeling 'something' at the thigh and now my worst fear - my back is feeling something ..... hmm  thinking here - the soreness might just have to go into tomorrow - its going down to -22F tonight and staying through Thursday - and after all - this did happen on company property!

I found the site manager and told him to get salt down and told him to go find my skid marks if he had a problem with that!

Just be careful out there - and dontcha be worrin' about little old Moi - I'll be fine - somehow..........

Oh no Rusty

Ice and faling are my worst winter fears.

I hope you are going o he dr and then home. You fell on company property! They need to make sure you are all right and don't raz you about it.

Falling is bad enough. You hip and leg will be sore tomorrow...but twisting the back...that is the worst! Look after yourself Please!! Don't play brave!!

Ooh, Rusty! Thank goodness you didn't hurt yourself badly!

I've been lucky so far this winter and haven't fallen. But most everyone

Oh, no, poor Rusty!! Falling is so frightening as you know as you're going down that this is not going to be good! Thank goodness nothing is broken, but you are going to be sore for sure I'm thinking!

Do you have an attachable ice grip for your cane? It folds up when not on ice. This is where I buy my canes from. They don't have a show room, only sell online. I have bought several canes from them.

Scroll down for the ice grip types.....

This is the only type of cane that I now use, have for several years. I like it as it's clear and goes with any outfit I am wearing......

Be very careful going home....

Oh btw, I've fallen more times than I care to think and there was never any ice involved....LOL
