It doesn't surprise me in the least. I once chatted with a maid who was cleaning the room when I got there, (because she didn't know it was due to be occupied), and she told me she once found a bloody deer head in the tub! Ick! She figured someone must have cut up a deer

Some hotels are awful.

One we stayed in when aj was in hospital was gross. we worse shoes on the carpet. The only one available. No rooms in towm The hospital waiting rooms were full.

when we walked on the carpet our socks stuck. but it was winter and we had to be somewhere.

I cleaned rooms and saw some gross ones. Never a deer head though. i think i would have called the wildlife control. I bet it was potched.

I hate the bead spread...seldom cleaned. the sheets are changed. Pee up walls, kids rooms were not always the worst. Garbage cans of puke!! condoms! was always afraid to look under the bed. Did you know how many bodies are inside the bed pedistal??

This is why we love rving!!

Oh, yes, I've had experiences with dirty hotel rooms too. That was the cheap places or very old run down places. That was all that we could afford back then.

Hi Hillary

A lot of people take pillows...we have to do that more often. Don't think i would haul my quilt too. we are always full in the truck on the trip home. Dh and I shop till we drop for deals!!

aside from grossness. I hate the hotels that say a certain number of guests per room or in the pool. Then the next place will rent pools for birthday parties. I life a room when i saw this and got my money back. if i rent a room to use the pool...it better be open, decounted if i can't use it...ect.

I like motels the most....where i can park outside my door. Easy to unload and load. no stairs!

I also love rooms with fridges and microwaves. Most here have them now! Some have computers too!
