Hi friends... Saturday night and we are pooped! Getting old. Had a nice enough drive to the little town where the cemetery is, but the wipers on the car were still frozen and dh turned them on and it snapped one of them right in two pieces,, and bent the other one,, (duh) LOL... Attended the funeral and then the lunch afterwards, left around 13:15 and on the country road back we passed a Mercedes dealer and repair shop ( what luck) they were open and $45 later we had the new windshield wipers. Since the autobahn (thruway) was totally backed up with people trying to go south to ski for the weekend... we drove right into the city to walk around . No parking as this huge World SEcurity Council conference is in Munich this weekend, and there were helicopters and 3500 police and special forces, sharp shooters on the roofs of certain buildings, so walking around was difficult.. but we know our way around the small streets and managed to spend time at our favorite cafe and go to the english bookstore , the weather was nice ... then we got some groceries and came home, ordered in italian for dinner,,, and here I am! (vice President Biden is here, maybe I should invite him over for dinner tomarrow night LOL) . We are watching the german version of American Idol...
gotta go and put my tired legs up,, just wanted to check in.

Hi Suzan....sounds like you had a nice day after the furneral....hope your friend is doing okay..
Ordering in Italian sounds yummy....You know, I much perfer ordering in to going out to eat....I just feel more comfortable eating at home:-)
I hope the German version of American Idol is better than ours this year.....so much crying and carrying on and I'm really bored with it.....maybe once they get the audition's over with, it will improve....I hope....
Glad you checked in:-)
No, it doesn't surprise me at all that you would not
The black rice tasted a lot like wild rice, but more tender. It was good. I really love rice though, so I doubt there is a rice that I would not like. I don't need extra things thrown in either, plain rice is the best to me.
Anytime works for me. :
