I'm a big user of my crockpot; it's so nice to toss in a variety of ingredients, turn it on and voila, the majority of our evening meal is take care of. I'm always looking for ideas to jazz things up, so I checked out this "Slow Cook for Better Health" slideshow.

I found a tip for using hard apple cider when cooking pork roast. Anyone ever try it? It definitely sounds interesting; I'll have to give it a try. I also love oatmeal and the steel cut oats sound good; I just can't seem to find them in my local stores. I may just have to break down and look for them online. ;-)

Hey, whadda you know? I remove the skin from my chicken, too, unless I'm baking a whole chicken. And then the temptation to nibble on the crispy stuff is so hard to resist, but I try to be good! ;-)

I've marinated chicken in Italian dressing before, then baked it and it was a hit. Next time, I'll try the cp option.

Gee...now I'm starving! LOL

Wow ~ Seriously? I had no idea they wouldn't be available there. I think of them as such a staple tool, it never would have occurred to me.

How about the next time we have shredded bbq beef sandwiches, I eat an extra one or two for you? Really,
