I had hoped we were done with snow. The nice weather the past few days had taken all but the biggest piles of it, but overnight, we got some. Not a lot, I'll grant you, but enough for dh to have to shovel. And more is predicted for Thursday. Bleah!

Did you settle in that part of the country because your family all lived there forever or did you move there because of a job or something? I grew up in NJ because my parent's families stayed there after moving to this country long ago. I wanted to move to a better climate though and ended up in KS because my sister was living here temporarily and said it's better here.

Both our families have always lived in this area of the country. Dh's family has lived in WI for generations. Both sides emigrated there - some via Canada -

Yes, I understand. The first time I moved from NJ was when my first DH got transferred to Charlotte, NC. I loved it there, but when I left my DH, I couldn't afford to stay there and went back with my little daughter

Yep Suzan, that is a purple plum but it's not in my yard.....DD has three on the side of her house. They are so pretty when they are in bloom....I just love them!

Hope you and Coffee get out to walk without snow on the ground.....
