And bored! I like my dd's house and there's no problem with the dog and cat - both are sweeties, lol, but ... well ... I miss my comfy recliners and my bed, LOL!  I don't know where anything is or how stuff works! I had to call dd twice yesterday because I messed up her tv and because I couldn't find the cat's food.

I didn't sleep well last night, and this morning I ache all over (probably the reason for my grumpiness today). I had my choice of two beds, but neither was comfortable.  I don't know why (darn touchy back and hip!). And I didn't realize how soft my furniture is until I sat on regular furniture, lol.  Hopefully I'll settle in here soon, find a good spot to read and watch tv and feel more comfortable here.  Maybe I can nap on the couch or something later and improve my mood.  Heck, if it's comfortable, maybe I can sleep on the couch tonight, lol!

Whatever, it's only for today and half of tomorrow. A little discomfort won't kill me and I'm glad I was available to help dd.

I know how you feel, I remember staying with the DGC while DS and DIL went on bussiness trips and could get the flood light to go off. Had to call them in Canada to find out..lol. Alway had to get the DGC to help with the TV.

Thank goodness DGS was old enough to help me as everything in the house runs on remotes, even the lights. If not I would be sitting in the dark...lol. Oh wait I did sit in the dark till DGS came home from his friends house.

Well, things are looking a bit better. I'm not quite as achy as I was earlier, and I think I have the basics of how the tv remotes work. And, since I watched the movies I brought and have seen most of the ones dd has, I looked up a redbox movie kiosk online, found one not too far from here, and went and got a movie!
It gave me such a feeling of accomplishment to actually find the place and get back here without getting lost! That might be a first for me, lol!

LOL, it's a good thing the only remote operated things here are the tv and dvd player - but it takes 3 remotes to operate them all. One to turn on the tv and do the volume, another to work the tv channels and the dvr stuff, and the third to use when I use the dvd player, lol.

But the dog was no help at all with the tv last night. I asked him but he just tried to lick my face, lol.

Yeah, the dark and most noises don't bother me, it's more the change in routine and the different beds that get to me.
