1. If there was a nice day weather-wise, to where would you like to take a day trip?
-> My daughter and I did that last Friday. We went to the ocean and I think we probably would do it again.
2. When was the last time you bought a music CD? What was it?
-> Last week. I bought Kings of Leon.
OMG! That's on my list of books to read. I just recently finished Sandcastles by Luanne Rice and What Matters Most is the sequel. I LOVE Luanne Rice. She is from Connecticut and writes about New England all the time. A lot of the places she mentions in her books are familiar to me and I think that is really cool.
The Cliff Walk is beautiful. It is a 7 (?) mile walk along the ocean, some of it pathways and some of it along rocks, and it goes along the back side of the Newport mansions. I love it.
Thanks!!!
That walk sounds fantastic!!!
Come on up...we'll take you! It's only about an hours drive from my house. Actually, every year on Good Friday Barry and I go to Newport and have fish and chips (or some other fish dish) and spend the day shopping and sightseeing. I look forward to it and I'm so bummed out when the weather doesn't cooperate. Barry has Good Friday off as a paid holiday, but not me. I take a vacation day because I will not work on Good Friday.
I hope you're having a wonderful morning! No tutoring? I'm off to have lunch with my brother in a few minutes.
I'm thinking you miss your lake in PA Pat?
i do miss being near the lake.there are plenty around here togo towhen i want :O)
hi Deb
I never even missed the fact that it was the sequel... wish they would write it right on the cover so i'd know....
Yeah, she took a vacation day (aka mental health day). It was her suggestion that we go.
Really didn't do much. Drove three hours one way, walked on the beach, visited a few shops, drove up the small peninsula and looked at houses, drove back down, had lunch and then drove back home. It was nice, but sort of depressing as you can see the how the economy has take a toll on the town. It has been at least 10 years since we've gone there.
