Hello my dear friends, I finally have a few minutes here to myself so I decided to check in here at the Sand Box and see how everyone is. I miss you all and looking forward to being back here all the time as I use to.

The house is coming along, they finished digging and tomorrow they are putting in the forms and on Tuesday they will be pouring for the foundation. I am really excited about it. I am being a child and marking off the weeks on the calender. We now have 8 weeks to go for the house to be completed. I am hoping that by the 20th of May we will be moving into our new home.

So, enough about me, how is everyone doing. Hope that you are all well and in good spirits. The weather here in Canada is sunny, still a little cool but Spring is here and I am hoping that as each day goes by it will begin getting nicer and nicer.

Does anyone have specific plans for the summer holidays? I know perhaps it is a little early for planning summer vacations but I know a few people who have planned to go away already.

Here is wishing you all a great Sunday. Keep well and I will check in again as soon as I have another few spare minutes to myself.

Thanks Donna, we are definitely enjoying all of this excitement and really can not wait for these 8 weeks to pass. At my age of 61 I really do not want for the time to pass to quickly lol!!! but for us to get into our new home, I will be happy if the time goes a little faster and after that hopefully it will slow down. ha ha ha

Hey Suzan sweetie pie, I may have a lot going on here at this time, but......my ears are always open to all of my friends, whether my plate is full or not, my friends are very important to me, which includes you and the other lovely women here at the Sand Box.

As for your son, is it possible that he does not want the responsibilty of taking care of Coffee anymore? May I ask you a question? Why can't Coffee be alone when they go out for the evening for a few hours. They can walk her before they go out and then they can even leave the radio or tv on so that she doesn't feel like she is alone. Personally if you do not mind me saying, and I am a great animal lover aswell but,do you think that it is such a good idea for Coffee to be with people 24 hours a day?

Please I hope you are not offended with what I wrote, but I have had dogs and I couldn't of loved them anymore than i did , but they also learned to be at home alone for a few hours if I had to go out and they were perfectly fine. They were trained and they did not bark when we left and they were very excited when we got back.

Right now I am thinking that perhaps I should not be saying this to you, because I do not want to upset you,but I figure that if we are friends, then we can say what we feel and hopefully not hurt each other.

Love ya and loads of hugs to you :) hugs and kisses to Coffee

Yes I am taking pictures of the progress. I am trying to go every week as they are doing something different. I will send you pictures of when they began digging and now they put the forms there to put in. The forms should be put into the ground already and I think by the end of this week beginning of next week they will pour the foundation. I will take photos right up to the very end and then put it on a cd. Love to see all the stages it takes to build our home.

I have attached some pictures from the digging to placing the forms.

Sounds like you are going to be a very busy lady this summer. Does this mean you will have two sets of parents with you as you said our parents.

so, you have a lovely day :)

Sorry Pat, I don't know if you are married or not, and I took it for granted that you were referring to your husband's parents , didn't realize you were talking about your siblings. Sorry hon.

I love to keep scrap books and now cds on memorable events. I take pictures of the grandchildrens' events in school, birthdays, etc, the birth of our precious great grandson and our newest granddaughter Destiny and I put them all on cds. So nice to be able to pop it into the computer and see all the wonderful memories.

Fran, congrats on the upcoming marriage of your daughter. This should be a lovely wedding and hope that you take lots of pictures and be willing to share them with us. She is getting married the day after my wedding anniversary. We got married June 19th

Getting married on the beach of Carmel sounds like it is going to be lovely. Good luck to them and hope that they will have a wonderful and happy life together.

I sometimes miss posts too, and then I feel bad about it, especailly lately when I do not have much time to be on the computer.
