WILD WEATHER

Sun, 05-10-2009 - 9:28am

the weather got a bit wild last night for about 5 minutes from a very fast moving storm.

i was on my dinner break & was getting ready to walk the parking lot.it was a little dark for 7pm & the wind was blowing....howling.then the rain came.

i felt bad for the ones working in outside garden center. they got soaked in minutes. plants & flowers were blown everywhere. noone was hurt..just soaked & cold. some called home for dry clothes & a girl that lives close by got to go home & change.

when the doors near the registers opened all the magazines, gift cards & papers went flying everywhere. dirt & rain blew in.we had to catch a shopping cart that blew back into the store.

it was pretty wild.it took a while for clean up. they are probably cleaning up more today. it is very blustery day today.

and we thought the night was going to be boring!!  lol

Wow, Pat, that was a ferocious storm and it only lasted 5 minutes?!! Thank goodness it wasn't longer!! Glad no one was hurt, but what a mess to clean up, and glad your night wasn't boring..lol! Those storms are so interesting along with being dangerous.

Hope you've had a good Mother's Day and got to talk to your boys.

pat,
it was that way here last night. we had hail and the lightning was terrible. the rain was coming down in sheets. it rained for a couple of hours and we had thunder all afternoon until after 8. they kept saying we were under severe thunderstorm warning and i guess they were right. lol
