my sis #1 & i went to downtown portsmouth toay.decided not to go to the beach~ it was suppose to be a lousy day with afternoon storms. i don't know where the storms went& don't care~ it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day!
we parked the car at prescott park & walked around for an hour there.the gardens are not ready & the fountains are not on.of course...we'll go back a few times over the summer.i got a few pics of the trees in blossom & fishing/trawling boats.but...ooohhh...to smell that fresh ocean air :O)
then we walked around town for a few hours.we did lots of window shopping :O)i got a cute coin purse at a store called cool jewels.at the back of the store they had beautiful cotton dresses-loose flowy styles ,long & short...very inexpensive. will be going back there to get a couple for summer!!!
another store to revisit-maine-ly new hampshire.mostly to try the wines & see the new stuff.they are moving from across the street & setting up for new vendors so some stuff is still in boxes.
we had lunch at a little deli- the worksbakery cafe- sat outside to eat. had a grilled ham & vermont cheddar w/sliced gsmith apple & almonds with honey mustard in an herb wrap and an iced coffee
we'll be going back a few times over the summer to see the gardens & hopefully see a few events going on. can't wait til august when the tall ships sailin :O)
i'm beat & have to get up early for work.

Hi Pat that sounds like a wonderful
Granny to Caleb and Scotia
Sounds like you had a wonderful day Pat!
Portsmouth sounds like a wonderful place to be! I would love to visit there one day, especially during an arts fair and when the tall ships are there. Lucky you!!
Glad you had a great day!
