Hello to all my dear friends here at The sandbox. I am finally in our new home since last Thursday and it was a very difficult, stressful move, as a lot of things here in this house was not finished. We were all totally wiped out. Today is the first day that I can say I began to feel a little more like myself. Since Thursday I was not feeling well, had chills like I was getting sick, my neck was a little sore, and of course my arthritis in my spine was acting up.All I wanted to do is sleep, which is not like me at all. Usually I would have my house organized and sparkling clean in no time, and now it seems to be taking me forever to get going.
It is extremely winding out there and ofcourse now my allergies are starting up and I have had to use my pump, as, we have lots of trees behind us and since we are in a new sector , the roads are not paved and no one has grass as of yet so there is dust and sand everywhere.
Sorry ladies I am rambling on and on. So enough about me...how is everyone doing? Hope all is well and everyone is in good spirits.
I will be back more often now that I am more or less settled in. My computer room is all set up and I ordered drapes for this room which will be ready in about 2 weeks.
So, you all take care, and I am looking forward in seeing all of yous again, as I missed playing here in The Sandbox.
((((((((((((((((((hugs to you all)))))))))))))

I'm glad you are all moved into your new home.
Hi Miriam - good to see you here again.
Granny to Caleb and Scotia
the hardest part is done....soon you can sit back, relax
Glad to hear you are moved in and things are beginning to feel like home. It's the usual to not have things finished at first
Glad you are back...
Hello Suzan,
So glad to hear from you again and of course your wise suggestions. You are definitely right about being a lot for me concerning my daughter and her family. I knew that this would eventually all catch up to me and it did. I am not sorry for helping them out and probably would do it again, but...there will be no reason now as she is in her own home. Yes she loves her new house and she is fixing it up beautifully. She also got two puppies, boxers. They are sooooo cute and sooooo good.
Talking about dogs, how is Coffee doing? Hope that she is behaving herself :) I love animals , but can't imagine at my age having a dog in my house. You have to have the patience for training them, they need to be kept clean, etc and as much love as I would have for them,at this age I really do not want any....not even one. When my husband and I want to go away for the weekend or longer, I don't have to worry or depend on someone to watch it, care for it, feed and walk it while we are gone. Too much work that I don't need or want at my age.
When my children were young, I did have a dog and it was so much fun, now at the age of 61 and 65 I just want to have fun with my dh.
So, enough about me, how have you been? Missed you and everyone here, and I am so glad to be back. I will take pictures the first chance I get and I will definitely send them off. So, in the mean time, I will wish you a good day,and we will talk soon.
((((((((((((( lots of hugs))))))))))))))))))))))
Donna, sweetheart, I am so glad that life is good for you and that bar b q dinner sounds like it was a ball. How nice for you :) That's what life should be, fun, filled with laughter. There are so many sad stories out there, that some times we take life for granted. No. 1 is good health, and then we should just try to be happy and make life as good as possible.
So, now I am going to jump into a shower before I begin some of my chores here in the house. I love this house and can not wait for things to be organized as I like it, but....now that the nice weather has arrived, I will not make my house my slave, as I will go out to enjoy the outdoors, which will include my power walking.
So happy to hear from you and now that I am back, we will talk more often. Have a super day and keep smiling, being happy and having fun.
((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
Hi Pat, sweetie,
It is so nice to have family gatherings for dinner and just sit around and chit chat. Nothing like having good families and friends.
I didn't know that you were moving as well. Where are you going to? Are you moving into another house or apt? In any case good luck on that move. Don't work to hard.
You take care now and since I am now back we will talk more often.
Have a great weekend and hopefully things will go smoothly.
Hello Rusty, so glad to hear from you and thank you so much for that wise advise. I am taking one day at a time, and I do things slowly and when I had enough I stop and let it go for the next day.
May I say that those children are just beautiful and such gorgeous smiles on their faces :) Be well, and enjoy them.
I will send off some pictures as soon as I have a few moments to take some. We have been in and out of the house running around doing errands etc. I have ordered drapes for my computer room which will come in about 2 weeks. Looking forward in getting them, as it will finish off the room and of course it will be a warmer look as well.
Have a super weekend, and we will now talk more often. Looking forward in being with all of yous again.
Thanks you,and I am definitely doing things very slowly now. I take one day at a time, and what I can get done, gets done and what doesn't, well there is another day. I can't do what I did when I was in my 40's so I have to except the fact that I am 61 not that it is old, but yes I am older, and I did have a total of 8 people in my house for almost 4 months and this was not an easy move for any of us. But.....my daughter is in her new home and so are we, so we will all get back to ourselves shortly.
I will take pictures as soon as I can.
Have a great weekend :)
