I have this thread on JH but was wondering about what the Sandboxers do?  (sorry to those who are on JH, duplicate for you)  .....

Do you always peel potatoes when cooking?

Does it depend on what particular dish you're making?

Does it depend on what kind of potato?

Do you use a potato peeler or just a knife

Easy to answer..just scooted over to JH and copied my answer from there..LOL.....

Do you always peel potatoes when cooking? Yes, always as I don't care for the taste of the peels that much. I do eat most of the peel with a baked potato, but can't eat all of it.

Does it depend on what particular dish you're making? No, I even peel sweet potatoes before putting them into a covered dish to bake.

Does it depend on what kind of potato? Umm..guess I just answered this one above..lol!

Do you use a potato peeler or just a knife? I always use a peeler, but it has to be a certain kind of peeler. I can peel so fast, I'm like a wizz!! Can't stand to use a knife for peeling, takes too long and there's too much waste.

We're going to an outdoor birthday party tomorrow (today)

What kind of peeler do you use? I have one that has a floating blade, sort of on the side of the handle and I love it. My mom had one that had a blade centered on the handle. She loved it, but

Here's three pages of different types..take a look..I need a new one as mine is getting a bit dull edged now. It's an old Pampered Chef one that I've had for many years......
