I keep a small flag in the front window all the time...

I live in a military community so there are lots of flags. The cemetary is all decked out with flags and ribbons.

I have a flag pole in the front yard and fly the flag everyday. I have since my brother was in Veit Namm in the 60's

The Navy base is about 7 miles from us....We don't have any connection with the military other than living here. We can't use the commissary. We ended up here because my dh worked for Armstrong Tire Company, which was located a few miles from here....My sister and her dh moved here when he retired from the Air Force so that they could use the base for shopping and medical. I don't think they use the base much, if at all anymore.

It was hard making friends because they moved in and out all the time. There is only one person on this block that has lived here as long as I have.

our flag was hung when our youngest went into the navy 12 years ago. it will come down when both of the boys have retired from the service.
