I hope you all had a nice weekend, and hope the week ahead will be a good one for you, too.
My weekend was pretty good. Not quite as warm as I would have liked, but not too bad.
Dh and I had a good morning at rummage sales on Saturday. I found a very nice St. Nicholas figure like the two I have - and it was only 50 cents! Also I found a couple Dean Koontz hard cover books for 75 cents each; a Harry Potter tin that will go well with the one I have; a 20th Anniversary Trivial Pursuit game that can join the collection of various other themed TP games we have, lol, and a paper shredder that fits over a waste basket. That will come in handy when I go through the past several years worth of papers and receipts, trying to whittle them down to only things we want to or need to keep.
Also, the farmers' market started up for the season on Saturday and I got some tomatoes, some radishes and the best string cheese and garlic herb cheese spread I've ever tasted. I actually miss this company's cheese products in the "off season"!
This week coming up is a celebratory one for us. Tom's 60th birthday is on Thursday and our 38th anniversary will be on Friday. No big plans for either one, other than dinner out on Friday, and we'll go to dd's on Sunday and celebrate the days a bit, too, I suppose. We're just not "party animals", lol.
I'm going to start yoga today, and walking, as long as my back holds up. The yoga is supposed to be targeted to help strengthen my back, as well as give me flexibility, and I can use both those benefits! I've got a dvd and a yoga mat and some sort of strap the video said would be helpful, so we'll see how it goes. I don't really have any yoga wear, though, and I think I should wear something stretchier than jeans, lol. I'll go out this morning and look for some sweat pants or stretchy "yoga pants".
So, that's my weekend and week ahead, how about you?

happy birthday to tom and a very happy anniversary to you both!!
my weekend was quiet as we are both still trying to get over whatever this virus is we have had.
went grocery shopping on saturday and came home and fell asleep in our chairs. yesterday it was church and we were invited out to eat lunch but i declined. my tummy is not up to eating out yet, so we came on home.
our celebration this week is our son john's 34th birthday but we won't get to talk to him as he is the one that is in kuwait. we talked to him a week ago and wished him a happy birthday then.
the only thing i have this week is the podiatrist on wednesday to see what they are going to do about my feet.
don't know how you feel about christopher guest movies but i like them and am waiting for waiting for guffman to arrive this week. it's one of my favorites of his.
now i'm off to call the cardiologist, my blood pressure has been too low.
have a great day,
Happy birthday to your son, and give him my sincerest thanks for his service to our country. I pray every day for the men and women in the services and hope they

i see the cardiologist tomorrow. will let ya know about both visits.
Sounds like you had a good weekend Ann and found some good useful stuff at the sales too! Our Farmer's Market has begun too and it's on my calendar for next Saturday morning, or we may do it Wednesday evening as it's open then too. I hope there are some tomatoes out, but it may be too soon yet. Ouuu..BLT sandwiches..Yum!!
Congratulations on your Anniversary and Happy Birthday to Tom!! Fun plans ahead for you..enjoy!!
I'm so happy to hear you are starting yoga and walking Ann!! That's wonderful!! Just take it easy, don't over do and increase as you are able. It will help your back as the back muscles strengthen. When I was walking the Race this past Saturday and walking with my one sis-in-law, I said to her that this is good for my back as I could feel the muscles working. We have to keep this up Ann..have to..and others here in the Sandbox who need it too!! Yay us!! I find that knit pants work well, hope you find something to wear that you're comfortable in.
Let's see..my week..have to check my calendar.....
Monday..Today....
It's cool out this morning at 65*f, wish we could go walking now; but J is out doing his Red Cross volunteer work. We'll walk later though even though it's supposed to be a lot warmer. There's a nice heavy breeze too, which will be nice. We'll probably go down to the river and walk the path we took for the Race last Saturday.
I also need to get out and buy a few more fun thingies to put into a package to send to my kids and grands in Cincinnati and get that in the mail today.
Tonight is my Red Hats monthly dinner and I'll go to that if I feel like it later..will see.
Tuesday....
We'll have J's visiting brother with us through the morning and then their other siblings and their husbands will be coming over for lunch and a visit. Then I have an appointment with my oral surgeon that afternoon to get the all clear to *finally* get my crowns put on the implants! That evening we'll walk.
Wednesday....
I get a haircut and that's all we have planned at this point unless we decide to do the Farmer's Market that evening. We'll walk at sometime during the day.
Thursday....
John's brother flys back home to GA. We have no plans other than walking.
Friday....
Time for me to donate blood again at Red Cross.
Saturday....
Maybe Farmer's Market and that's all we have planned except for walking.
Sunday....
Church and Sunday school and dinner out...check in online...take a nap...go for our walk.
Looks like another good week for us. Notice I never put house cleaning stuff on my weekly list? I don't like to think about it, that's why..LOL!! We will zip the vacuum around today, clean bathrooms, and
May God bless your military sons extra Ellen and continue to keep them safe.
I hope you can get some good relief for your foot problems. Dealing with pain is exhausting! I hope your tummy feels lots better today too and hope the doc can get your BP under better control. Take good care of yourself!
i need a haircut, but don't know when i will see dd again to get one.
wish they had a farmer's market around here. there is one in metter but that is a ways away and we never go in that direction.
i can't give blood but my dh does, although he has missed the last two times. once was while we were away and the next time was while we were sick.
Ooh, yes! I love BLT sandwiches! I think

Good afternoon to all. I hope your weekend was nice. I been having trouble with Ivillage and posting, so I hope this one goes though.
I did nothing this weekend but sleep! Will go out to dinner tonight.
I have been trying all morning to get my desk clean off, what a mess it was..almost there. I have a new computer, camera and scanner and haven't really learn how to use any of them yet. Now maybe I will want too with a clean desk...lol.
Well that about it from here, nothing really new.
Have a great day.
