Fran asked something interesting in her Friday 5's and that being : do you accept help and assistance ? Most of us said NOPE... well aren't we just all self sufficient! LOL I'm thinking we all need to accept help when we could use it... forget the burn the bra routine let's start to make our life easier and except some help... OK??????
So the challenge is this: let's all try to accept help and assistance when it's offered . When you do ..... come back here and tell us all about it,, no matter how insignificant it may be. If your dh wants to sweep the porch, let him, say thank you sweetie and report back. If someone offers to go to the post office for you, let them,, and then report back here. If someone wants to hold the door open for you, let them,, we all know you are capable of opening the darn door, but let someone do something nice for you, you deserve it. From now until,, June 30th. Let's see how long the list in this thread can get.... I'm betting we can get this thread up over 200 acts of assistance...... this should be fun. Who's in ??? Don't forget to report back when you allow some help and assistance in your life.

OK....let me start this off ........this am, I was at Dunks, I saw this elderly man coming in w/ a cane, looking rather frail.
Nice idea Suzan!! I ask for help often and accept help often too. Sometimes I refuse help if I really don't need it for some people are so willing to help a woman with a cane or walker that they tend to go over board at times and I do prefer to do things myself. Sometimes though, a helping hand is nice.
My husband opens car doors and entry doors for me always. He does it because he knows I like to be treated like a lady, but it is also
Even though I didn't answer the Friday 5s, I do accept help and assistance and I have to sometimes and it does make a difference in one's life that be from others or financial help from the state. I get SSI and that's made a huge difference in my life and my family's especially now that my mom is a single parent again.
