It depends (now that I think of it). Here in the computer room, where the thrown away stuff is mostly paper, I call it trash.


But in the kitchen, where it is more food and other messy junk getting

Growing up in NJ, it was called garbage. Here in KS, it's called trash.


Generally, when I use the term "garbage", I'm not referring to articles of trash..more like hooey or nonsence or worthless facts, etc.


I wonder if anyone says "rubbish".

dh says trash, i usually say garbage. then we have a lot of stuff that we call recycleables too. lol

It's trash here for us,
Although once in a while I'll say time to take the garbage out :)

Here in Canada we call it garbage - as in

Hi Hugs,,, yes here too... trash unless it's time for DH to take out the garbage. but then depends what he has to take out..
