Very Sad Time !!!

Well, this is a very sad time for me, as one of my dearest friend's husband passed away Friday morning. He was 61 years old and fought cancer for 5 years.

My dh and I are leaving for Montreal Friday morning as she will be at the funeral home that evening and we will sleep over at another friend's home, as it will continue Saturday morning at the salon and then at 11:00am to the church and back to the funeral home to place his earn in the glass case.

My dh will return home while I remain with her for a few days. She was so happy that I was going to be with her, though she has slept by herself since he passed on, but...she would like to spend time with me , so I will most likely be with her until the following Friay the 10th of July and then return back home. Her son will drive me to the bus terminas and my sweetheart will meet me at our bus terminas to take me home.

Very sad time, yet there is a relief as he is no longer suffering which he most definitely did.

Thank you sweetheart,

I did offer her to come back with me but one of her sons and his family are going to PEI for two weeks and they wanted her to join them, but.....I think that right now she prefers not to go anywhere.Though she may change her mind. She always wanted to go to PEI and see the home that her son bought there, so she may change her mind and go with them.

I know it will do her some good to have a little bit of a diversion, but it isn't about what others think is best, it is about her and what she wants and doesn't want at this time.

Thanks for your condolences hon ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))

Thank you Ellen. We are all so very sorry to have lost this wonderful man, but...the way he suffered I am glad that he is now at peace.

I am hoping that she decides to go to PEI as it really would be a nice diversion for her, and as for her coming down to me, she knows that my door is always opened and whenever she feels she wants to come down, we will be more than happy to have her with us.

This cancer is an awful disease though a lot of people survived this, others don't. It is very unfortunate but as much as we are all going to miss him, he is now at peace and has no more suffering, and my girlfriend does not have to watch him suffer any longer. That in itself was a relief to her, as it is very heart breaking to see someone have to suffer.
