We're back, and we had a good time. The ducks are a fleet of vehicles that were originally used in WWII as troop carriers. They go on land and water, so we rode through some beautiful forest and rock formations, then into the water - the Wisconsin River - for a river's view of more rock formations. Then it was overland again, along and through a small creek to Lake Delton which is a man-made lake that disappeared a couple years ago, when the berm and county road that separates it from the river washed out in a flood. The lake drained off down the Wisconsin River - along with 4 luxury houses that were along the lake. This is the first year since then that they can use the lake, after repairing the berm and refilling the lake.
Our tour guide was funny and kept us all entertained and informed throughout the trip.
When we got back to the dock, we wandered a bit around the downtown area, looking for souveniers, but nothing really struck our fancy, except some really expensive things, lol. Tom took some pix of other attractions there and we headed out for home.
Here are a few pix...

Welcome back and it looks like you had a great time.
Every time I see pictures of the Dells it reminds me of the black and white photos my parents took when they honeymooned there back in 1958.
Ann, loved reading about your day and seeing those beautiful pictures. Looks like a really nice place to visit.
I went to the Dells a few years ago with some message board friends. It rained that day, but was a nice trip anyway. We took that boat ride, pretty area. I especially remember that dog jumping from one cliff to the other..German Shepard I think it was..amazing!
