No, Ali is still living in Seattle with his girlfriend. He knows the door open for him to return should he ever need to. Both the kids knew that sometimes a person needs to move home to get their feet under them after graduating from college and becoming gainfully employed.
We do have a few minor rules and regulations even when a kid is home and paying rent.
HI Pat, well have a nice day at work, hope the wather is nice for you and for the family get together,,, no way you could take a late lunch hour and bomb on over for a hot dog or something?
Interesting reading this conversation. My girls are up in their thirties and we say "my house" or "your house" and have for many years. I don't remember when that started, but I expect it was when they moved out into their own homes. They've all moved back here temporarily at times..when there was a bad storm and power outage at their homes or in between moving to new homes..etc..but it was always "my house" or "your house" after they got their own homes. Now I live in a home that neither of them had ever lived in, so that makes another difference too. Things change. I wonder what other people say about "their homes".
Things are different now, so not sure what we'll do. We used to gather at DD1's house and shoot off tons of fireworks. Now, she's separated from her husband and is living in an apartment. My other DD just moved back here yesterday from Cincinnati. I talked to her this morning and we'll all get together later today, but not sure if we'll do fireworks or not.

Tomorrow is church, no other plans.
After our trip, we need a few quiet days.
I'm planning on going out to eat with some good friends of mine.
What do have planned for this weekend since
