There's good news and bad news. My blood sugar and cholesterol levels are good. But my blood pressure is higher than it was last time.
She put me on a different medication, or an additional one I should say. The new one is part diuretic and part something else. She thinks that, with the meds I already take, should get it under control. And she said some exercise and eating right wouldn't hurt, either (blush).
We talked about my back. She thinks it's probably arthritis or disk degeneration and said to try some back exercises (she was pleased I said I'd already been trying some easy yoga) and see how that goes. And she said losing weight would help (yeah, yeah, I know. But tell that to the skinny 19 yo inside me who insists I can eat anything!).
And we talked about my spotty legs, lol. She didn't seem too concerned, saying it sometimes happens as we age and has something to do with circulation in my legs. Something about veins leaking and staining the skin. She said it sometimes happens if a person has had severe leg swelling or has varicose veins, but I haven't had any unusual swelling and have only spider veins (knock wood). But, like I said, she didn't seem too concerned, so I won't be, either. I'll just keep them covered and/or learn to live with it, lol.

That darned weight thing! Ughhh!! It never ends!
