It's too hot to do much cooking,, no baking for sure...  so I'm just making a veggie dinner with fresh beans and  yogurt dish, country bread, watermelon for dessert.

What about you?  (what do you cook when it gets really to hot to spend much time in the kitchen) (I also don't feel much like eating when it so hot...)

Well, hubby likes this seltzer water/yogurt/salt mix called doog (sp?) and I find it absolutely disgusting. Otherwise, I make Mast Khiar which is chopped cucumbers mixed in yogurt with a bit of salt/pepper and crushed mint.

Since Mediterranean and Persian food is pretty close, I guess you could say I make both just more of the Persian variety. I've made dolme (stuffed grape leaves) and I love that! ;-)

Well, think tonight we are going to put some hot dogs and buns on the bar b q and I will make some fries in the oven. Something quick and easy.

I like them both ways too, but cold is really good. ;-)

Yeah, I've made the peppers (son loves those) and eggplant and these huge meatballs called koofteh (a lot like dolme filling).

Suzan, nice that you can take coffee with you sometimes. Do you bring her something she can eat while you're there?

I like Canadian bacon and pineapple on a pizza. It's nice for a change...
