Friday Five - back to school

In a tie-in with my Movies! board starting our Back to School Movie-a-Thon today (hint, hint), I thought of a few questions for y'all (not movie related, don't worry, lol)

1. Did you ever wear a uniform to school? Did your/do your kids?

2. Did you carry a lunch or buy it at school? How about your kids?

3. How did you get to school (bus, car, walk?). How about your kids?

4. Do you have any kids starting (or who have started) school?

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?

oh...how i hated those one piece gymsuits that zippered up the back! i remember some of tried to wear them backwards to zip up better but had to change & put them on correctly..lol often wondered why the girls couldn't get shorts & tees like the boys? lucky kids today can wear their own stuff!

That's a good idea of washing them and returning if they don't fit afterwards,, actually many times they don't.

Oh our gymsuits were a VERY ugly standard issue blue , zip up , nasty,,, elastic in the leg, which I pulled down to my knees as I hated the blouson look at the thighs.

Ours where similiar, but white with shorts legs and really not so bad. I hated them because most of us would forget to take them home to be washed and they'd get pretty rank after awhile..LOL!! ::blush::

PS...I like your siggy. ;)

I forgot the gym uniforms...i had one. Ugly green tshirt and green stretch shorts. Hated them. and had to buy their towels too

I am so glad we never had one piece zip ups though.

Thomas and aj had to have gym shirts and shorts. They also had to have towels. in the areas we lived in you had to shop for runners early. Nobody was allowed black soles shoes. The white soles went fast.

whn growing up their was a girls catholic school that had the uniforsm with skirts. I think that school closed in the early 80's. Those...for the most part, were known as the easy girls...sad but true!

Well, I didn't have to wear a one piece gym uniform, but the shorts and blouse I did wear was ugly! The shorts were more like bloomers!
