I have gotten this information before and you probably have too, but it's good to keep reminding ourselves so we may remember if this happens to us or our loved ones.......
TO ALL AGES. EVEN THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NOW NEARING ONLY 50!!
I HAD NO IDEA YOU SHOULD NOT LAY DOWN. Editing to say... This part is incorrect I just found out. It has been found that..."There appears to be no difference between the outcomes of heart attack patients that lie down versus those who remain upright."
Why keep aspirin by your bedside?
About Heart Attacks
There are other symptoms of an heart attack
besides the pain on the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.
Note: There may be no pain in the chest during a heart attack.
The majority of people (about 60%) who had an heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.
If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water. CALL 911 do NOT lie down
Unlock the front door
Afterwards:
- phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by
- say "heart attack!"
- say that you have taken 2 aspirins.
- take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and...
~ do NOT lie down ~ (Again, this part is incorrect I just found out. Should have checked it out before I posted this. Sorry.)
A Cardiologist has stated that, if each person, after receiving this e-mail, sends it to 10 people, probably one life can be saved!

FYI...It does not matter if it is the store brand, either....I sometimes buy Walgreens because it has the same ingredients only you do not have to pay the extra
I always buy the store brand..usually Walgreens..for drugs too, like Ibuprophen, cold medications, etc. It's the same ingredients, lower price.
You're an RN! My DD2 is a neuro critical care RN who quit working a little over a year ago.
