My backyard geese.........

Wanted to share a photo with you of some of the Canada Geese in my backyard. As you can see, it's feeding time. You'll see the lower end of the upper pond. Photo was taken from our deck, the pond looks closer than it actually is.

Soon some of the geese will be moving south for the winter. :(

Editing to say that....We do have wintering Canada geese here. Some leave, some stay the winter. The winter population has grown tremendously over the past 25 years.

Very nice photo! I've already seen some geese going South around here. And all my "summer birds" are long gone.

what a nice relaxing view. too many geese can be bad but luckily they don't stay too long as long as people don't feed them.

around here it is posted not to feed the ducks & geese

sigh...they'll all soon be flying south

Yes, we can feed them. I mean, there's no one to stop us. Only one lady does though as the rest of us keep them..along with the Mallards..out of our yards close to our homes and there's more than enough natural food out there for them to eat.

We have to get out and enjoy the colors of the changing season as much as possible for it will soon be gone. :(

Not all of our geese leave as we do have wintering geese. I don't think we have any that fly in from more northern states though, doesn't seem so anyway.

Yes, people love to feed them around the parks, but not in my area except for one lady who treats them like her pets!! I expect her yard where they congregate is a bit..slimy!! LOL!!
