Ellen, sitting by the phone waiting for a call has to be so hard. You sound like you are all perpared.

So sorry to hear about your dgs. I can imagine how worried you must be. Have you had any news on how he is

we are home from the hospital. he is in stable condition. they are calling it a severe asthmatic reaction. he has never been diagnosed with asthma, although both his mother and his grandfather have it.
he will be in icu for another day or two and then go to a regular room. they think he will be in for about a week, although we hope he will be home sooner. he is not eating, but did drink a glass of milk. he is not talking but did color a picture while we were there.
they said that the treatments are helping because they could not hear anything in the lower lobes of his lungs when he was brought in, but before we left they could hear some air moving. so, that is a good sign.
thanks for the prayers and good thoughts they are greatly appreciated by this grandma.

Okay, so now you know what you're dealing with and he's in the best place for now. So glad to hear things are looking better. What a relief for all of you! Those trips back and forth to the hospital are hard on loved ones though.
