Ok here are my questions!
1. When grocery shopping do you check the expiration dates on stuff??
2. Will you buy and use things that are close to the expiration date??
3. What will you not buy or use near the expiration date?
4. What other ways do you use to tell when stuff is fresh?
5. What is something you believe you can use beyond the expiration date?
Bonus! Name one item with an expiration date. Lets try to keep this going...only one at a time. you will be surprised what has dates on it!

-> Dairy products
4. What other ways do you use to tell when stuff is fresh?

5. What is something you believe you can use beyond the expiration date?
-> Some canned goods and a few medicines are okay for a little while. Bread you can always freeze to freshen up.

1. When grocery shopping do you check the expiration dates on stuff?? - Most of the time, I do.
2. Will you buy and use things that are close to the expiration date?? - If I'm going to use it quickly, I will.
3. What will you not buy or use near the expiration date? - Medicine. By the time I'd use it up, it would probably be expired.
4. What other ways do you use to tell when stuff is fresh? - I look at it, or smell it if I can. Color will tell you a lot, as will the condition of the can.
5. What is something you believe you can use beyond the expiration date? - Not much, but if I freeze something before the expiration date, then I don't pay attention to the date. Or sometimes it has a "use by" date, and then I can go a few days past it.
Bonus! Name one item with an expiration date. Lets try to keep this going...only one at a time. you will be surprised what has dates on it! - Antacids

3. What will you not buy or use near the expiration date? I won't buy dairy close to the ex date or meat. I'll use anything over the ex date though, except for meat,

I am very leary of dairy products due dates. Thomas co worker bought chocolate milk to drink as they drove. just started going and he too a gulp! Brakes the door flew open and the threw up!th jug followed. the date was so far past that it came out in chunks! so gross! We also go frozen milk that had been thawed. Tier were flakes of fat in a water mess. The store would not take them back...we were mad!
