Have you ever used a soup tureen?

Do you use soup spoons for soup?

Paper napkins or real in rings or other?

Glass for water, wine and other?

More utensils than the basic knife fork and spoons?

tablecloths, or placements?

Candles or other on table for decorations.

Looking in your cupboard and see what fancy stuff you have not used in years. then the china cabinet, and basement shelves. Make a list. Lets all tell what we have that really does not get used much or can be gone or has sentimental value.

why do we keep this stuff??

wonder how many of us could pass then on to someone, sell or give away?

Have you ever used a soup tureen?

-> Nope

Do you use soup spoons for soup?

-> Nope, sort of hard to shove a big spoon into one's small mouth.

Paper napkins or real in rings or other?

-> Depends upon the occasion and company.

Glass for water, wine and other?

-> Again, depends on the occasion and company.

More utensils than the basic knife fork and spoons?

-> Nah

tablecloths, or placements?

-> Sometimes

Candles or other on table for decorations.

-> Not usually

Looking in your cupboard and see what fancy stuff you have not used in years. then the china cabinet, and basement shelves. Make a list. Lets all tell what we have that really does not get used much or can be gone or has sentimental value.

-> Boy, I'm very basic. I have some *china* (you know the stuff, comes in a box and sold by lesser retailers. . .it was a gift). I have some Oneida silverware received as a gift for my high school graduation. Some is missing thanks to people not checking before they scrape plates. A mish mash of bowls that are secondhand, a salad set that is missing tongs and a bowl and some chipped. It all gets used, but at some point I'm going to dump everything except the silverware and get what I want.

why do we keep this stuff??

-> Guilt?

wonder how many of us could pass then on to someone, sell or give away?

-> I'll offer to my kids the stuff that is not damaged.
