I'm starting The Ripple Effect by Lynn Erickson...new author to me. Just read the prologue and it sounds like it might be good...hope so. I finally gave up on a book I started and just couldn't get into...hope this one better....

I'm still reading The Lace Reader. I like it, but it's not one that I can't put down, so it's going slowly.

Doesn't look familiar, Suzan. I've read quite a few books from the region, both non-fiction and fiction and you have to be in a particular frame of mind to get through some. . .well, at least I have to be. I still have not been able to get through "Reading Lolita".

It comes from the talent the women in this family have, that they can see a person's future by holding a piece of lace between themselves and another person (the seeker) and "reading" the lace.
