Nope I'm not seeing any signs of spring...
I'll be honest,  I've gained a couple kilos
and
don't look forward getting on the scale after the holidays, LOL"

What do you think of "shapewear?"    Would you be buying it to subtract or enhance? Can you imagine your S0/dh wearing it?

Let's talk about this..

As far as I'm concerned shapewear is just a modern girdle. I can't stand wearing clothing that is constricting/tight and that include pantyhose. Besides, it seems silly to wear that stuff when women actually wear thongs because they don't want a pantyline showing under their pants and skirts.

I'm all about comfort and prefer not to see my husband looking like he is wearing a sausage casing with the belly spilling over the top. Our obsession of looking perfect is really over the top.

I'll stick with my treadmill and elliptical.

Ughhhh..Shapeware!!! Makes me think of our wedding. I had to wear a strapless bra and also wore Spanx. Getting the darned Spanx on was awful!! Pulling that tight sausage wrapping over my..ummm..fluffy parts..wore me out!!! LOL!!! It did create a smoother look though and made me look 50 pounds thinner at least!! LOL!!!

So, if you can stand to have those things on, which are NOT comfortable regardless of what they advertise, go for it!!

Hmmm... I seem to be holding my own re weight...

As for shapewear, there isn't enough of me to warrant it anymore. I've seen Spanx for sale in a shop in Virginia, and been given a big sales pitch byt the saleslady there, but I tend to avoid all-in-ones because I'm long waisted and rarely will something that is one piece fit me comfortably without unplasant riding up or, worse, wedgies!

Has the recession really led us to make do instead of just throw away?
In these economically challenged times, do you think we need a Repair Manifesto?
What do you do to get yourself out of a style slump?

i don't like confining shapewear or enhancers....however i do like the full body spanx type just for the smoothing look it gives under a nice dress. hate that lumpy dumpy look ... especially if the dress is a little clingy.

i do not need a butt enhancer or pushup bra..or a padded bra...lol
