Keep in mind that some seemingly healthy products can be deceivingly high in sugar. We spoke to iVillage diet and nutrition expert, Dr. Madelyn Fernstrom, about what is healthy and what isn’t when it comes to sugar.

I agree with most of what was said. The differences would be...don't eat anything that has more than 4 grams of added sugar per serving. That does not mean natural sugar. It's the added sugars, such as....
If a food item states more than 4 grams of sugar per serving, look at the ingredients. If they say any of the above mentioned sugars, it's okay as long as they're not listed in the first four ingredients.
Good healthy post Suzan! Our sugary Christmas junk is almost gone and we'll be getting back into healthy eating very soon. I'm looking forward to it!!
