Sorry, everyone, I'm feeling kind of sad

I know I haven't been here too much, but I've been feeling a little down and introspective lately. My brother in law died a few days ago of lung cancer. I don't know how long he had it, how much warning they had, but I had just found out about it, then, within a few days, he was gone! He was younger than my dh and just a year older than me. I feel so bad for my sister and niece.
It's sobering, thinking how quickly something can take a life. And with the doctor saying there was an "area of concern" when Tom had his stress test, and having had a stent put in 5 (I think) years ago, I start worrying about him, thinking of all the things he takes care of that I wouldn't have a clue about how to do if I lost him. Things would just fall apart around my ears around here, I think! And after all these years of being home, who would hire an unskilled person pushing 60?
As I tell Tom - he'll just have to outlive me!
Anyway, that's what's got me down lately. Give me a few days to push these maudlin thoughts back into the back of my mind and I'll be fine.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
Take care of yourself, hon.
So sorry to hear of your bil passing. It is a reminder of how fast we can lose each other.
I totally understand your feelings and worries about your dh. I get those, too. My dh is my absolute best friend and one and only love. He does lots of things around the house not to mention bringing home the bacon! And it's not that I couldn't do some things if I had to, it's that we are a team and we like it that way!

It is scary to consider how
It really is ok to feel sad Ann and more than understandable.

I am so sorry about your loss......I truly am and I know how scary life can be. My DH has a triple bypass 9 1/2 years ago. He's 71 and I still worry about him. He's doing well, but you just never know.
Time is a great healer. I know that's cliche, but it really is true.
