Intense Head Pains

When i was younger maybe 7, I don't quite remember how yong but I know it was under 10, I was swimming in my pool and swam right into the concrete and tile head first. I experienced intense head pains and all I wanted to do was cry and sleep. I never told anyone because I was afraid I would get in trouble and everyone was busy. The whole day the excruciating pain lasted all day. That night I went to sleep. Years latter, I am now 20 and have been experiencing those same head pains just a little less painful but painful just the same. Should I tell my doctor or just leave it alone because it is only a headache?
