You won't be able to file your petition for bankruptcy since you used the cards right away, but it will take you a few weeks to meet with bankruptcy lawyers, decide which lawyer to hire (yes the lawyer works for you, not the other way around), get your worksheets and start pulling together every itty bitty bit

If it were me and I knew I was going to file, I would start meeting with attorneys NOW. (Please, I beg of you.. go and see more than one or two.. we were desperate and picked one right off and it was a bad deal for us).
Don't pay anything more than the minimum.
