Tips for Yearly Goal Setting

DH and I have started working on our 2010 goals, and I thought it might help someone to see how we're doing it. Goal-setting has been really good to us, especially for budgeting, so I wanted to share this with you. Don't feel like you have to share your goals, if you do this, but you certainly are welcome to. Maybe we can keep track and encourage each other in 2010.

First list any life categories you want to set goals for (for example, Spiritual, Career, Physical, Financial, Family, Intellectual). Then, for each, add one or more measurable goals, and include a timeframe by which they have to be done. Measurable means you can tell when it is complete. The timeframe is important, because that's what turns a "dream" into a goal.
