New member - starting Ch 13 process

I have just started a Chapter 13 application (inundated with forms) and was wondering if
anybody on this board is in one. Is it extremely difficult to live on the money they let
you keep? How have you handled unexpected expenses? This is a big step for me - one that was hard to make, but I had no other options. TIA.
