Back in December, I had to take my DD to see a doctor who did not participate in our medical insurance. I paid $400 for the visit. I mailed in the claim form to our insurance and guess what I got a check for $400. The good news is that I had paid the doctor's visit in cash. I guess this can be considered snowflaking. I'm sending a check of $400 to our cc.
It has been a very slow process. Since I have consolidated our $40,000 cc debt into one cc at 3.9%, the balance has been going down. This $400 was unexpected. I didn't think our insurance will reimburse me. We still have about $19,500 in student loans.
Just wanted to keep you ladies posted. Still waiting for the income tax checks.

3.9% is a terrific rate - definitely a great way to see your efforts on debt reduction pay off. There's nothing more frustrating than paying off debt with high interest.
Congrats on the "found" money :)
